New year, new adventures

Dagen innan nyårsafton och äntligen lite tid över till bloggandet. Jag har helt och fullt koncentrerat mig på att få kafeet färdigt och de få timmar som jag har fått över har jag ägnat mig åt julfirande med vänner och familj. Lite vila har det blivit också, som tur är. Kafeet är så gott som klart för öppnandet och det kommer ske nu i början av januari. Ett grymt spännande och roligt år som väntar har jag en känsla av. Tänk att året 2015 blir det år då jag blir egen företagare och kafeägare, i Malaysia av alla länder dessutom. Det var inget jag hade i tankarna för bara några år sedan. Jag och min man pratade häromdagen om året som gått och om tiden vi varit tillsammans sedan vi möttes i Peking 2010. Det är helt sjukt vad mycket vi har varit med om de här 4 åren som vi varit tillsammans. Vi har redan hunnit bott i tre olika länder tillsammans, jag har haft 3 olika jobb under denna tid, studerat 1 år kinesiska på universitetet samt haft diverse andra projekt, vi har köpt ett världsarvshus som vi renoverat från grunden samtidigt som vi faktiskt också hunnit med att vara lediga jättemycket, först jag i ett år här i Malaysia och sedan min man i ett år i Sverige. Nu är min man egen företagare och jag är på väg att öppna eget cafe. Helt galet. Och inför ett nytt år som detta vill jag bara säga, sluta aldrig att drömma. Med mycket motivation, fina människor runtomkring som ständigt uppmuntrar en och en liten gnutta tur, kan de flesta drömmar uppfyllas.      


The day before New Year's Eve, and finally a bit of time left for blogging. I have been fully concentrated on getting the café done and the few hours left, I've spent it with friends and family celebrating Christmas. Luckily, I also had a bit of rest. The café is almost ready for the opening and it will happen now in early January. A very exciting and fun year is ahead of me,  I believe. Imagine that the year 2015 will be the year when I become a self-employed and owner of a cafe, and in Malaysia of all countries. That wasn't something I had in mind just a few years ago. My husband and I were talking the other day about the past year and about the time we've been together since we met in Beijing in 2010. It's crazy how much we've been through these four years we've been together. We've already lived in three! different countries together, I have had three different jobs during this time, studied Chinese for one year at the University, we've bought a world heritage house in Georgetown which we've renovated from scratch, while at the same time actually had a lot of time off. First for me for one year here in Malaysia and then for my husband for one year in Sweden. Now my husband is self employed and I'm about to open my own cafe. Totally crazy. And before a new year like this coming one , I just want to say, never stop dreaming. With a lot of motivation, nice people around who constantly supports and encourages you and a little bit of luck, most dreams can come true.
