Recycling material

Vårt shophouseprojekt går väldigt sakta framåt på grund av alla lagliga procedurer som ett husköp innebär, men det går framåt åtminstone. Under tiden försöker vi att hitta material och möbler som vi kommer att behöva under renoveringen. Vi vill helst använda oss av så mycket återanvänt material som vi kan. Dels för att vi vill vara miljömedvetna när vi renoverar och dels för att vissa saker som producerades förr inte produceras med samma kvalite idag. Därför har ett utav rummen i lägenheten förvandlats till ett förråd av diverse gamla dörrar, fönster, möbler och annat. Vi har haft tur som fått tag på så mycket fina grejer till vår renovering. Titta bara på dessa fina fönsterluckor som är som i nyskick.


Our shophouse project is moving very slowly forward because of all the legal procedures that a house purchase entails but at least, it is moving forward. Meanwhile, we try to find materials and furniture that we are going to use during the renovation. We would prefer to make use of as much recycled material as we can. Partly because we want to be environmentally conscious when we renovate and partly because some things that were produced in the "old days", are not produced with the same quality today. Therefore, one out of the rooms in our apartment has been turned into a storage of miscellaneous old doors, windows, and furnitures. We have been lucky to get hold on so much nice stuff for our renovation. Just look at these nice shutters that look as good as new.
