Courtyard blogging

Oj, vad tyst det blev här på bloggen. Vi har haft så mycket att göra med renovering, flytt och städning så jag har inte hunnit med något annat. Men nu är vi på plats i huset och det känns underbart! Vi har förtfarande mycket kvar att göra på huset men det är i alla fall beboligt. Vi har inga dörrar till badrummen än, ingen aircon, spisen är ej inkopplad, och mycket annat smått och gott. Men vem behöver sånt egentligen?! Vi har i alla fall tak över huvudet och det är inte fy skam, förutom om man befinner sig i vår courtyard, för då har man ju faktiskt inte tak över huvudet. Det bästa av allt är att huset är så otroligt tyst och svalt på nätterna så det väger upp allt annat som vi inte har hunnit få iordning ännu. Och min nya bloggplats kan jag verkligen inte klaga på. Blogga i 30 graders tropisk värme, i en egen privat öppen courtyard, mitt i den myllrande världsarvstaden Georgetown i Malaysia. Tja, inte så illa faktiskt om jag tänker efter!


Oh my, it has been very quiet here on the blog. We have had so much to do with the renovation, and relocating and cleaning so I haven't had time for anything else. But now we're here in our new shophouse, and it feels wonderful! We still have a lot more renovations to do on the house but it is at least livable. We have no doors to the bathrooms yet, no air-conditioners, the stove is not connected, and like a million other things that is not ready. But who needs that stuff anyway?! At least we have roof over our heads, which is not too bad at all. Well, except if you're in the courtyard, because then we actually don't have roof over our heads. Best of all is that this house is so incredibly quiet and cool at night so it weighs up everything else that we have not had time to get prepared yet. And I really can't complain about my new work place. Blogging in 30 degrees tropical heat, in my own, private open courtyard, right in the happening world heritage city of George Town, Malaysia. Well, not that bad actually if I think about!
